Three underdogs primed for upsets on the week 12 NFL slate.

Three Underdogs to Watch in The NFL Week 12 Matchups

Dallas Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) at Dallas Cowboys (+3.5)

The Dallas Cowboys are home dogs to the divisional rival and have a good chance at the upset on Sunday. Dallas is coming off a blowout Monday night football win against the Las Vegas Raiders, where the offense looked sharp and the defense finally looked solid.

One interesting stat about this is that Dak Prescott‘s career record against the NFC East at home is 21-2, which includes a 6-1 record against Philadelphia. Prescott and the Cowboys took the Eagles down to the wire in the season opener back in September, so they have reason to believe they can do it again.

After the trade deadline, the defense has improved with the addition of Quinnen Williams, and Dallas has also regained players from injury. As for the Eagles, they will continue to be a vulnerable team as long as their offense continues to struggle. They have scored 26 points in their last two games combined, and if Dallas can put the Eagles on their heels by forcing this game into a shootout, then Dallas has a good chance.

Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts (+3.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5)

The Colts are a live dog against a Chiefs team that has been struggling to find consistency. Indianapolis is coming off its bye week and catching a Chiefs team desperate for a win after losing to the Broncos last week.

The Colts are well-equipped to defeat the Chiefs. Right now, their offense is among the best in the NFL. Indy leads the NFL in points per game with 32.1 and has scored the most total points in the NFL this season. Indy has an MVP candidate playing his best ball right now and is fresh coming off a bye in Jonathan Taylor.

Another feather in the Colts’ cap is defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Anarumo had previously given the Chiefs offense and Patrick Mahomes trouble while he was the defensive coordinator in Cincinnati. He was key in stifling Mahomes in the 2021 AFC Championship game.

It’s arguable that the Colts are the best team in the AFC right now, with them fighting for the top seed in the conference for the playoffs. With that in mind, look for the Colts to try to take this win in KC

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns (+3.5) at Las Vegas Raiders (-3.5)

The Browns will go on the road as underdogs to take on the Raiders in a matchup of two of the worst teams in the NFL currently. Both teams’ combined record sits at 4-16, which means this game could go any way. However, the Browns are going to be riding the momentum behind Shedeur Sanders’ first career start.

Sanders can make enough plays for the Browns to be able to get this road win. Cleveland’s defense is among the league’s best despite its record, so it will be tough for the Raiders’ offense to get going, having struggled against lesser opponents all season long.

Though Cleveland has two wins, they have been competitive in the games that they have lost.
