It's early for a rematch already, but such is the case when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags took the first matchup; is anything going to change in this one?
Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Betting Odds
Spread: Jacksonville -4, Over/under: 44.5 points, Indianapolis +160 | Jacksonville -192
Jacksonville heads "home" after two weeks in their second-home London, a stay that was quite kind to the team, as the Jags won both games. Jacksonville is 3-2 and tied for the lead in the AFC South.
Indianapolis is also 3-2 and took a big win over AFC South rival Tennessee despite losing promising rookie QB Anthony Richardson early to a shoulder injury. Gardner Minshew has had to play quite a bit already, and he's proving to be one of the NFL's best backups, already a part of multiple wins.
Jacksonville won the first matchup between these two in Week 1, 31-21, and they've won three of the past four meetings, all by double-digits.
The Jaguars and Colts are both 3-2 ATS. Indy is 3-2 to the over while Jacksonville is 2-3.
Jacksonville's win over Buffalo last week was the exact type of statement we were waiting to see this team make. They have the pieces on both ends to be a legitimate AFC contender, and seeing Trevor Lawrence tear up one of the NFL's best secondaries shows us this passing offense is starting to figure things out.
Well, that's ideal in a rematch against Indianapolis, owners of one of the worst pass defenses in football. The Colts are allowing the ninth-most yards per pass attempt and have been one of the worst teams at limiting explosive plays.
They struggled slowing down Calvin Ridley and this group in Week 1, and it's hard to imagine that changing here in Jacksonville. Considering the Jags beat this team by 10 five weeks ago, it seems likely to be more of the same with Gardner Minshew under center. Take the points here.
