NFL Week 7: Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks betting picks, preview

There's quite a few divisional matchups in the NFL Week 7, and one of the largest spreads finds itself here in Seattle as the Seahawks host the Arizona Cardinals. That shouldn't scare you off from betting on this one.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks: Betting Odds

Spread: Seattle -8, Over/under: 44.5 points, Arizona +300 | Seattle -380

Arizona lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, falling 26-9. The Rams were able to do whatever they wanted on both sides of the ball, and they had a pair of 100+ yard games from their RB and WR, showing us here that this Cardinals defense can be exploited in any which way.

The Cardinals are now 1-5, with their only win an inexplicable victory over the Cowboys.

Seattle is fresh off a 17-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in a game that felt like they could have won. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, the Seahawks fell to 3-2 with the loss. Despite the defeat, Seattle still feels like one of the NFC's best teams. DVOA would agree, ranking the Seahawks as the 10th-best team in the NFL, with above-average rankings on both sides of the ball.

Seattle has beaten Arizona in three straight meetings, each time by at least eight points, making this a sharp opening line for this NFC West bout.

The Cardinals are 3-3 ATS while the Seahawks are 3-2. Arizona has gone over the total in four of six games, while Seattle is just 2-3 to the over.

Betting Picks for Arizona vs. Seattle

Seahawks -8

We backed the Rams for the same reason we're about to bet on the Seahawks: this offense should have no issues against this Jonathan Gannon defense.

Arizona has shown a willingness to let teams get easy completions over the middle of the field and establish the run, two things that Geno Smith, Kenneth Walker, DK Metcalf and this Seahawks offense do well. They should be able to pile up the yards while their playmaking defense does the rest.

This one has blowout written all over it, especially with Seattle off a loss and in need of a win to stay on pace for an NFC Wild Card spot.

Since 2010 when Pete Carroll became Seattle's head coach, the Seahawks are 47-29-4 ATS (61.8%), the second-best mark in football since that time.
