Week 7 was a wild week of huge fantasy performances and, unfortunately, many big injuries. Here's a look at the week's biggest surprises, disappointments, and waiver adds.

Surprise: Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals

Joe Burrow had one of the best games of his career against the Falcons' defense, and Boyd was his top receiver. Usually the No. 3 receiver in the pecking order, Boyd finished the day with eight cates for 155 yards and one touchdown.

Plagued by injuries during his career, Campbell has come alive over the last two weeks with the Colts playing from behind. He led the team with 10 catches for 70 yards and one score.

Returning from a knee injury, Edwards was worked more heavily into the gameplan than expected. He led the team with 16 carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns. It looks like Edwards is picking up right where he left off in 2020 and should be active in most leagues.

Foreman was a timely pickup last week following the trade of Christian McCaffrey, but the stagnant Panthers offense curbed expectations. He tore through the Bucs' defense on Sunday with 15 carries for 118 yards and also had two catches for 27 yards. The production isn't something we should expect every week, but it does make him an appealing start in the right matchup.

Hardman has been a bit of a gadget player since the Chiefs drafted him, but his breakaway led to three scores on Sunday (two on the ground, one through the air). He also finished the game with 60 yards from scrimmage and four catches.

Allen was active after getting the questionable tag during the week, but fantasy managers who took the risk of using him back from a hamstring injury got burned. He saw limited snaps, tallying two catches for 11 yards. Allen's role will certainly increase soon, especially with Mike Williams set to miss time with an ankle injury.

After a huge showing in Week 6, Drake was a popular pickup with J.K. Dobbins sidelined. Unfortunately, he was upstaged by Gus Edwards and was ineffective when he did get opportunities, with 11 carries for five yards.

As 13-point favorites, conventional wisdom indicated that Fournette and the running game would have a big day against the Panthers. Instead, Tampa Bay was blown out 21-3, and Fournette had only 26 yards from scrimmage.

Cleveland's defensive issues made Jackson's matchup appear easy, so his production was a downer. He completed only 9-of-16 passes for 120 yards, along with 10 carries for 59 yards. His lack of scores and fantasy points was likely the cause of many lost fantasy matchups.

Samuel was held in check by the Chiefs' defense, with only five catches for 42 yards, and ranked only third on the team in targets. As feared, the addition of Christian McCaffrey might have limited his presence in the run game, as Samuel had only one carry.

Jets superstar rookie Breece Hall had a great start on Sunday but was lost for the year with a knee injury. New York didn't waste much time replacing him, as they traded for James Robinson from the Jaguars. Despite Robinson's addition, Carter is likely to be the primary ball carrier in the near future, if not the rest of the way.

The Colts shocked the football world on Monday morning when they announced Ehlinger would be replacing Matt Ryan as the starting quarterback. The second-year quarterback has never started a game in the NFL, but he did impress during the preseason. If Indy's recent pass-heavy trend continues, he could net some value for fantasy managers on bye weeks.

A deep threat for much of his career, Goodwin starred for the Seahawks with four catches for 67 yards and two touchdowns. The big news of the day was D.K. Metcalf's knee injury, which could create an opportunity for Goodwin to see more targets.

Hasty has shown flashes this season and is now set to be Jacksonville's No. 2 running back following the trade of James Robinson. Travis Etienne has taken hold of the starting job, but Hasty becomes a strong backup option.

Waiver Add: Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs
Mark J. Rebilas / USA Today Sports Images
The Chiefs announced before Sunday's game that Pacheco would be getting the start at running back over Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The rookie saw his snaps limited and had only eight carries for 43 yards. Still, his status in the league's most explosive offense is notable and makes him very worthy of a pickup.
