Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has rightfully been on the receiving end of criticism thus far this season.
Philadelphia entered Week 12’s “Monday Night Football” game against the Seattle Seahawks with a 3-6-1 record. The Eagles have struggled at nearly every turn. That includes Carson Wentz leading the NFL with 14 interceptions this season.
There was a lot of talk about Philadelphia perhaps giving rookie second-round pick Jalen Hurts more snaps in this game. Well, Pederson did just that after Wentz tallied minus-5 net passing yards on seven attempts in the first quarter.
Unfortunately for Hurts, he saw action on just one play. It resulted in a six-yard completion to Alshon Jeffery. One play later, and Wentz was taken down for a six-yard sack. This represented the Eagles’ fourth consecutive three-and-out to open the game. Not surprisingly, Pederson was the talk of the social media community.
Pederson should be fired just for that.

Totally convinced that Doug Pederson has NO idea what he’s doing.

Doug Pederson isn't even a real person. It's just a hologram controlled by an app on Jeff Lurie's iPhone.

No idea what’s in Doug Pederson’s mind. If he’s going to go to Hurts, let him stay in and get some momentum.

HERE WE GO: "fearless" Doug Pederson is going to alternate Jalen Hurts and Wentz!!! WILL NOT WORK. Jalen Hurts is better than Wentz. He deserves to be the starter, not play a play here and there.

Doug Pederson and Nick Foles took down Belichick and Brady in a Super Bowl. Lmao

Doug Pederson is playing chess and the other teams are playing football.

Lurie should fire Doug Pederson at halftime for this farce

There’s been a lot of talk about Pederson being on the hot seat. Sure his stint in Philadelphia included leading the organization to its first Super Bowl title. But that was years ago.
Right now, I am convinced Pederson has no idea what he’s doing on the sideline. As much as Wentz has struggled, Pederson himself has proven to be in over his head.
Will it lead to the Eagles moving on from their head coach? If what we’re seeing Monday night is any indication, that decision could come sooner rather than later.
