NFL world shares tough reactions to Chubb injury

Running back Nick Chubb appeared to suffer a devastating leg injury during the Cleveland Browns’ Monday night matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Browns trailed the Steelers 7-3 in the second quarter and had 1st-and-goal from the Pittsburgh 8. They handed the ball to Chubb, who rushed up the middle.

Chubb was brought down by a low hit from Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who was also injured on the play. Chubb’s left leg appeared to be hyperextended to a gruesome extent.

Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore tried to help him up, but Chubb could not get himself up even with assistance. The Browns star had to be carted off the field.

Derrick Henry was instantly heartbroken after witnessing the injury. The Tennessee Titans running back posted three broken hearts and three sad face emojis on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, shortly after Chubb’s injury.

Henry, who has widely been considered the NFL’s top running back in recent seasons, previously anointed Chubb as the “best on the planet.”

Several other NFL stars showed their support for Chubb as well.

Chubb previously suffered a season-ending injury to the same leg back while playing for Georgia in 2015. The Browns running back has 28 carries for 170 yards in two games this season.
