NFLPA seeking answers regarding Washington Football Team trainer raid

Not much new information has surfaced since Washington Football Team trainer Ryan Vermillion was the subject of a DEA raid last week.

Now, ESPN reports the NFL Players Association is asking for more information regarding the event, "citing health and safety concerns."

Vermillion was placed on administrative leave on Monday following the incident, in which his home and office at the team's practice facility were searched.

An unnamed source with knowledge of the incident told ESPN players were interviewed about Vermillion earlier this year. So far, interviews conducted with players and personnel have not indicated that anyone on the team knows why the raid took place.

The NFL has declined to comment at this time, ESPN said.
