NFL’s Chicago Bears announcement draws strong reactions from fans

The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the new NFL season as they look to improve on their 2025 campaign. They finished with an 11-6 record last year, and they won their first NFC North title since 2018.

Chicago was a superior offensive team last year, finishing in the top five in rushing yards per game. On top of that, they also led the league in interceptions and turnovers forced. Unfortunately, the Bears failed to win it all last season. After defeating the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round, they lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.

Chicago Bears fans react to the new NFL power rankings

The Bears have been busy this offseason as they look to bolster their roster. They have already signed key pieces such as Coby Bryant and Devin Bush. Chicago also traded for center Garrett Bradbury and re-signed Case Keenum.

However, they also lost DJ Moore, who was traded to the Buffalo Bills. The Bears also lost Kevin Byard, Jaquan Brisker, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Nahshon Wright and Jonathan Owens to free agency.

While the 2026 Season is still a few months away, the NFL has announced the latest update on its official power rankings. Unfortunately for the Bears, they have dropped two spots and now sit at number nine in the rankings.

“If you factor in a young roster continuing to bloom, it’s possible to see improvement from within, too,” NFL’s power rankings mentioned. “I still think they’ll find a way to grab some headlines, either in the draft or before it.”
