The Los Angeles Chargers are kicking off plenty of offseason activities in the coming weeks, and the NFL season will be here before we know it. For the entire league, they are patiently waiting to know in what order they'll face their 2025-2026 opponents during the regular season.

The first game for Jim Harbaugh's Chargers may also bring a unique experience for fans who would like to watch the game from home.

Chargers' opener may be streamed on YouTube

According to reports, YouTube may get its first chance to stream its first exclusive NFL game.

Google’s YouTube has emerged as the heavy favorite to stream its first exclusive NFL game on Friday of the opening week, sources briefed on the discussions told The Athletic on Thursday. ...

The game will be played in São Paulo, Brazil, at Corinthians Arena, with the Los Angeles Chargers already slated to be one of the teams involved. An official announcement will likely occur next week during Advertising Upfronts, when networks and platforms like to make big news. Indeed, the NFL announced Thursday that it will reveal its international games on Tuesday, followed by the full NFL schedule the next day. ...

While this would be the first exclusive game streamed on YouTube, the service is in the midst of a seven-year contract worth around $14 billion with the NFL for the rights to Sunday Ticket. Sunday Ticket is a subscription product that allows fans to watch out-of-market games of their favorite teams. The games are simulcast and produced by Fox and CBS on Sundays.

For Los Angeles, they do not know who they will play in that opener quite yet, but they will learn that answer later this week. For fans, they'll need to keep an eye out for more streaming details regarding LA's season opener.

The NFL will reveal the entire 2025 regular season schedule at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday via NFL Network, NFL.com, the NFL app, and NFL+.
