Nick Sirianni breaks down what makes Eagles QB Jalen Hurts stand out from the rest of the league's winners

The Philadelphia Eagles were able to get back on track last Sunday with a win over the Minnesota Vikings.

The win came after two straight losses that never actually fired up quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was focused on the next week, which panned out well for him.

Hurts finished the day completing 19 of 24 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns for a perfect passer rating of 158.3.

It was the kind of performance where he didn't blink. And after the game, Hurts walked by general manager Howie Roseman and said, "We're not losing anymore."

For some players, that is just a statement after getting an ego boost from a big win, but for Hurts, it's way more than words -- which is exactly what makes him stand out from the rest, according to head coach Nick Sirianni.

"Hyper-competitive guy," Sirianni said. "You love that. Wants to win. A lot of people want to win, but are they willing to do the things that winning requires? I think that’s what you get with Jalen. He wants to win in the worst way, and he is willing to do anything and everything that winning requires."

While Sirianni did save himself by warning fans not to take those exact words too far, he reiterated that Hurts is on a mission.

Hurts and Eagles set for revenge game against the Giants

Hurts and the Eagles are set to face the Giants for the second time in less than two weeks after losing to them on Thursday Night Football, 34-17.

While it's certainly a revenge game for Philly, they plan to operate "business as usual."

"Focus like it’s any other game. Now, it’s a unique game in which you play a team the second time, and it’s even more unique that it’s been one week of games since then. Just like everything we talk about– I know you guys ask me on a Thursday night, or a short week, or a Monday night game, or a first game, or a snow game.

"You have things that you look at because it’s unique, it’s slightly different. But nothing changes in respect to your process. You still have a week to prepare. Business as usual, but we’ll have some things that we look at as coaches knowing that we just played them, and we know that they will as well."

Eagles vs. Giants kickoff is at 1 pm ET this Sunday.
