Nick Sirianni Has Blunt Message For Jalen Hurts Critics

Despite being a two-time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP and (almost) league MVP, Jalen Hurts isn't cracking many top five lists among those in the media.

Some of that has to do with his supporting cast, some of it has to do with the aesthetics and some of it can be chalked up to people's initial view of him in college.  But all of it is "bullsh--" if you ask his head coach.

Responding to questions about Hurts' talent and accomplishments, Nick Sirianni said his quarterback is more concerned with winning games than compiling statistics — and that's what he loves about him.

"I mean, he plays the most important position in all sports," the coach explained, via NBC Sports Philadelphia. "And it's the most ultimate team game there is. And what I admire about him is his selflessness of doing anything we need to do to win."

"I mean, obviously, anybody who plays quarterback is going to want to throw it 50 times a game. But he'll do anything. If he has to throw 50 times a game, he's ready to do that. If he has to hand it off 50 times a game, he's ready to do that."

Sirianni went on to say that debates about whether his QB is elite or not are fine for people outside of the building but he and the Eagles know what they have in their $255 million man.

"Anytime, I hear that, it's cool, it's like a nice debate thing that people like to have," Sirianni said. "And I get it, there's a lot of hours that TV shows and radio stations have to fill to be able to fill that debate. I understand that."

"But we're talking about the ultimate team game there is and he does whatever he needs to do to win each and every game."
