The Las Vegas Raiders are likely not going to be the busiest team on Nov. 4, when the NFL’s trade deadline hits.
The Raiders do have some players they can trade such as wide receiver Jakobi Meyers or linebacker Jamal Adams, but they will likely be well out of the way of the bigger bits of business. However, the rest of their AFC West rivals are all in various stages of contention, meaning they could look at making a move to set themselves up for the postseason.
However, landing a trade acquisition for a single season is one thing, but securing a potential long-term option is another. The Raiders might not be in the position to land a major asset this deadline, but they might also be hoping they do not have to deal with any of them coming into their division for the rest of this season and beyond.
So which players should Raiders fans hate to see coming into their division in November?
It has not always been the prettiest season for the Denver Broncos, but they seem to be rounding into form at the right time.
Defensively, the Broncos are re-emerging as the elite unit everyone saw last season, but the offense is in need of another element to their game. Sean Payton has typically valued tight ends, but Evan Engram has not been the Jimmy Graham 2.0 that the veteran head coach had in mind. Enter David Njoku.
One of the better receiving tight ends in the league, Njoku has continue to be productive for the Browns. However, rookie Harold Fannin Jr. has come further along than anticipated, meaning the Browns have the opportunity to save money. Adding another weapon to the Broncos would give quarterback Bo Nix more options, whether to use the intermediate passing game or add a decoy to open things up for deep threats such as Marvin Mims Jr. or Troy Franklin.
A Broncos team rife with offensive weapons would be problematic for the Raiders, and the defense was already a big enough issue as is.
The Chiefs are now starting to round into form at the right time, which is a scary thought for anyone in the league, let alone the Raiders.
However, the sore spot to their team so far has come on the defensive line. It is shocking for a player group including Chris Jones to struggle the way they have, but the Chiefs have not been able to rely on consistent pressure as they have in the past. Of course, this means the defensive lineman market is exceptionally deep, giving the Chiefs plenty of options.
The likes of Trey Hendrickson or Jaelan Phillips would be terrifying on their own, but something about the Chiefs stumbling on a long-term building block in Thibodeaux is even more unsettling. Even though the Giants did pick up Thibodeaux’s fifth-year option, keeping him alongside Abdul Carter and Brian Burns might not be the most ideal option. With improved run defense to go with 22 pressures on the season, the Chiefs could pitch a massive offer to the Giants to bring Thibodeaux in and allow defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to work his magic.
A three-headed pass rush monster of Jones, Thibodeaux and George Karlaftis is the last thing that the Raiders or any team should want to face.
The Chargers have already been aggressive in making moves this season, acquiring edge rusher Odafe Oweh from the Baltimore Ravens last week and confirmed to still be in the trade market.

I would think that there will be trades made this week..

Injuries have halted the Chargers’ momentum over the course of the last few weeks. Joe Alt and Omarion Hampton are just the latest players to go down, meaning general manager Joe Hortiz can take his pick about where to improve his team. With the one winless team entering fire sale mode, the Jets make perfect sense as a trade candidate.
Hall has bounced back nicely after a down 2024, serving as the only consistent source of offense for the Jets. However, with Gang Green in another lost year and the regime that drafted Hall already gone, the Chargers are in prime position to pick him up to test his fit in Jim Harbaugh’s offense. The idea of Hall and Hampton serving as a one-two punch ensures the Chargers can punish teams on the ground, which will only make the life of quarterback Justin Herbert much easier.
The Chargers have a clear path to creating the scariest run game in the NFL, and the Raiders would prefer not having to deal with it twice a year.
