This team still in command of Super Bowl odds after wild-card weekend

There wasn't any shuffling of the deck at the end of wild-card weekend.
Per OddsChecker, Kansas City (+325) remains a slight favorite to win Super Bowl LVII.

The Bills (+350) have the second-best odds. San Francisco (+450) has the best odds in the NFC, but there's an argument that its opponent on Sunday, Dallas (+1100), should be the favorite in the conference.

Philadelphia (+550) has the second-best odds of winning the Super Bowl among the NFC teams.

Not only did the Cowboys make easy work of Tom Brady and Tampa Bay on Monday, but ESPN's Football Power Index gives Dallas a 51 percent chance to reach the NFC Championship Game to San Francisco's 49 percent.

FPI says first-place Philadelphia is the favorite in the NFC, but the Eagles will need to replicate its phenomenal early-season form to reach the Super Bowl instead of the lackluster effort on display during the final three weeks of the season. Philadelphia began the season 8-0 and went 1-2 over the its last three games.

Oddsmakers and FPI agree that Kansas City is the favorite. The Chiefs have a 33.8 percent chance of winning the Super Bowl according to ESPN projections.

QB Patrick Mahomes is on the brink of winning his second NFL MVP with the Chiefs and first since the 2018 season. He led Kansas City to a 14-3 record and threw for a career-high 5,250 yards despite being without wide receiver Tyreek Hill, traded to Miami in the offseason.

While the increase in regular season games from 16 to 17 no doubt helped Mahomes break his personal record, he started 17 games a season ago -- with Hill on the roster -- and finished with 4,839 yards.

Kansas City won Super Bowl LIV following the 2019 season. Mahomes reached the AFC Championship Game in all four of his playoff appearances so far, reaching the Super Bowl twice. Last season, Cincinnati won at Arrowhead Stadium 27-24 in overtime to advance to Super Bowl LVI.

The Bengals (+800) have the fifth-best odds of winning Super Bowl LVI.
Buffalo escaped its wild-card game at home against short-handed Miami 34-31. QB Josh Allen threw two interceptions and had a fumble returned for a touchdown. Despite building two separate double-digit leads against Miami, Buffalo couldn't get out of its own way and allowed the Dolphins to remain in the game.

If a similar scenario presents itself against the Bengals this Sunday or in the AFC Championship Game against Kansas City (sorry, Jacksonville), the Bills won't be so lucky.

Buffalo is good enough to win it all but doing so needs to be seen to be believed.
