No Excuses For Bills After Schedule Release

The Buffalo Bills are seen as one of the Super Bowl favorites entering the 2025 season, and given their schedule, many think Sean McDermott and Josh Allen are out of excuses.

With the Bills having one of the most well-rounded rosters in football, coupled with a division that Buffalo is expected to blow through, there is little reason to suggest that McDermott's team won't be fighting for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Of course, injuries can spoil any party, but for Buffalo, this appears to be its best chance at finally claiming that maiden Super Bowl.

And for ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg, the time for excuses is now over.

"This is setting up to be quite the gift of a schedule for the Bills," Getzenberg writes. "That was already apparent based on the opponents, and once an international game was ruled out as Buffalo will travel the second-fewest miles of any team (10,546) only to be reinforced by the timing of games.

"The playoff juggernauts of last season are well spaced out, in addition to facing division opponents relatively evenly at the beginning and end of the season. The season even ends with a quick drive to Cleveland and then two home games, although one is against the Eagles. Still, there are no excuses built into this schedule."

So the Bills don't face a tough gauntlet of games this upcoming season, instead, being spaced apart with the only "difficult" stretch seeing the franchise play the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Houston Texans in a four-week block.

Buffalo will likely be favored in every one of those games, and considering two of the three are at home, the Bills "should" roll through that too.

Everything does feel set up for the Bills in 2025 to make another deep playoff run, but given how the roster is constructed, they can't be dumped out before reaching the Super Bowl.

There's no ifs or buts, 2025 is gut-check time for Buffalo.
