Training camp around the NFL does bring some excitement as players are back on the field. However, there is a downside to practicing. Injuries can take place and sometimes, serious ones take place this time of year. Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown may be a victim of that.

Brown was seen being carted off the field on Wednesday by reporters present at Commanders’ practice. The incident occurred during a 7-on-7 drill. While the injury is currently not known, there was apparently some massive frustration coming from the wide receiver.

“Commanders WR Noah Brown is being carted off the field,” Nicki Jhabvala said via X. “He went down during 7v7. Threw his helmet after being helped to the sideline.”

Brown played in 11 games last season for Washington, starting in nine of them. He caught 35 passes on 56 targets, going for 453 yards and one touchdown. The lone score is one fans of the NFL will remember for a long time, being on the receiving end of the famous Hail Mary against the Chicago Bears.

“Just a last-minute Hail Mary trying to get down there as fast as you can, box out, get into position, and help Jayden (Daniels) get the ball down there,” Brown said after the game. “He did a phenomenal job keeping the play alive and getting the best ball possible and we came out with a dub.”

Waiting on injury news, this will be the eighth season Brown has played in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys selected him in the seventh round back in 2017 with the 239th overall pick. Most of his career has been with the Cowboys.

Houston was home for one year before joining the Commanders ahead of the 2024 season. A one-year contract worth $3.25 million was signed in the offseason to bring him back to Washington. While his stats might not be the most eye-popping, there is plenty Brown brings to the table.

Everyone is hoping nothing serious comes out of the situation. More information will assuredly come next time head coach Dan Quinn speaks to the media.

Washington will open the 2025 season on Sept. 7 with a big-time NFC East showdown. The New York Giants will come to town, followed by a trip to Lambeau Field. Expectations are going to be high after making the NFC Championship game, wanting to get back there, and maybe even go one step further.
