It was a relatively positive offseason program for the Washington Commanders. However, there were also a couple of concerns for fans to ponder in the weeks leading up to training camp.
The Commanders' pass rush was an issue, but the addition of three-time All-Pro veteran Von Miller should help. Terry McLaurin's contract holdout was another, which hasn't reached a successful conclusion yet. There was also wide receiver Noah Brown's injury uncertainty after he was carted off the practice field at Washington's mandatory minicamp.
Washington didn't disclose anything other than that Brown was getting an MRI to see the extent of the problem. Reports after suggested it wasn't anything too serious, which was recently confirmed by a social media post involving the former seventh-round pick out of Ohio State working out before training camp.
Brown was filmed doing agility drills involving changes in direction. He looked fluid and explosive, which should be enough to put fears among the fan base to rest.

This is fantastic news from the Commanders' perspective. Brown is expected to play an important role in 2025 after getting another one-year deal this offseason. He emerged as a solid outlet for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels last time around. He was also among the league leaders in accumulating defensive pass interference penalties despite missing the closing stages of the campaign with an internal issue that required kidney surgery.
Looking at the video, it's clear that whatever knee complication Brown was dealing with in the spring isn't bothering him too much anymore. All signs point to him taking the practice field at training camp with no restrictions. It's still a wait-and-see scenario, but the signs are promising nonetheless.
With McLaurin potentially holding out until his new deal arrives, the Commanders will be counting on Brown more than ever this summer. He's slotted as the No. 3 option right now, but that doesn't mean he can't earn significant targets if the required improvements are made this offseason.
Missing more time through injury would have jeopardized that. But based on this short clip of Brown's high-intensity preparations for camp, everything is back on track.
There is an embarrassment of riches at Daniels' disposal in the passing game in Year 2 of his professional career. Brown is among the most crucial, and there's nothing to suggest another profitable campaign isn't possible if he gets a better run of good fortune on the health front.
Nothing has been officially confirmed, but the workout video is a reassuring step in the right direction.
