Northwestern Unveils New 'Purple Gothic' Uniforms

The Wildcats are embracing their campus heritage with the distinctive “Built in Purple” Gothic alternates. But the Internet was quick to point out they also look a like the Baltimore Ravens’ all-purple alts. Beyond introducing another alternate to the rotation, the uniform functions as an homage to Evanston’s gothic-style buildings and architecture. Fans are very divided on these unis — some love the bold and unique look while others think they are overkill and barely legible due to the dark color combination.
