Since the Indianapolis Colts announced they were shutting Anthony Richardson down due to shoulder soreness, the reporting on his injury has been a true roller coaster ride.
One day, it's expected to be more serious than many believed, then the next, he's on track to be a full participant come the start of training camp. Now Richardson has broken his silence on the situation and given the latest update on where things stand with his shoulder ahead of training camp.
Former #Gators QB Anthony Richardson told me he will be ready for #Colts training camp after missing minicamp with a throwing shoulder injury.

"I'm all good ... not really even a bump in the road. I feel like I tripped, I fell. Just got back up and hit the ground running again."
"I'm all good," Richardson shared with Zach Goodall, who covers the Florida Gators for 247 Sports Network. He went on to share the following update on his shoulder, "not really even a bump in the road. I feel like I tripped, I fell. Just got back up and hit the ground running again." That's a big update from Richardson, who confirmed to Goodall that he and his throwing shoulder will be ready to go for the start of Colts training camp in a month.
Richardson being ready on day one of training camp is exactly what everyone wants to happen. The Colts want to have a legitimate QB battle between Richardson and free agency signing Daniel Jones. The only way that can happen is if both are fully healthy and able to split starting reps throughout camp. Everyone I've spoken to about the situation also believes Richardson will be ready for the start of training camp. Hopefully, this was just a scare and nothing more. Being able to remain healthy throughout camp is just as important for Richardson as being out there on day one. It should be an interesting Colts training camp, to say the least.
