Now former Browns’ defender says goodbye to Cleveland

It looks like one member of the Cleveland Browns won’t be back for the 2024 season.

A.J. Green took to social media to say goodbye to the city of Cleveland. After four seasons with the Browns, the cornerback is moving on and signing a futures deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

Green is one of the better stories out of Cleveland in the last few years. After being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2020, Green made the 53-man roster and appeared in games for four straight seasons for the Browns.

Overall, Green played in 34 games over four seasons with two starts made while with the Browns. In 2022, Green played in every game that season.

As a pro, Green has two interceptions and 40 tackles to his resume. While the Browns have had a talented cornerback room for some years now, Green has been able to find a way to make an impact.

By signing a future deal with the Vikings, Green will have a chance to impress through offseason camps and have a shot at being a guy in their training camp in the fall.
