With Super Bowl LVI less than a week away, the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals haven't leaned into trash talk. Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr went the opposite direction Monday and heaped some glowing praise on Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
"The guy is smooth. ... You can't help but like this guy," Beckham said of Burrow during a presser on Super Bowl Opening Night. "He's going to be one of the greats, I truly believe that. Joe Burrow is definitely cool, for sure."
Beckham, 29, also had nice things to say about Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who finished his rookie season with 1,455 receiving yards and 13 touchdown receptions. It was the most touchdown grabs for a rookie since Beckham finished his first season with 12.
"He's an elite guy," Beckham said. "It's truly amazing what he's done as a rookie, but it doesn't surprise me. He's a big, physical receiver. I'm just very happy for him. That's what's up, just to be able to see him rookie year make it to the Super Bowl."
.@OBJ was not surprised at Ja'Marr Chase's early success in the league.

Beckham -- like both Burrow and Chase -- is an LSU alum. He attended the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship when Burrow and Chase led the Tigers to a 42-25 win over Clemson.
