Odell Beckham Jr. Makes Personal Admission After Giants Decision

Odell Beckham Jr. is back with the New York Giants for the 2026 NFL season. The three-time Pro Bowler returns to the team that drafted him with the 12th overall pick of the 2014 draft. The 5-foot-11 wide receiver reunites with John Harbaugh, whom he played for with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.

Beckham last played in the NFL in 2024 as a member of the Miami Dolphins. After playing only nine games, Beckham and Miami mutually parted ways. He was then suspended for six games of the 2025 NFL season after violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Beckham took the league by storm during his rookie season with the Giants. He was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014. In his first four seasons with New York, he earned two second-team All-Pro nods. The former LSU standout was later named to the Top 100 greatest Giants of all-time.

After one year out of the league, Beckham is now back in New York. He has been included in the Giants’ 53-man roster for the 2026 NFL season.

The Super Bowl LVI champion admitted he shed tears after learning he had made the roster.

“I had those tears when I got back to the hotel after figuring out I’m gonna be here,” Beckham said. “I have an opportunity to rewrite some of the last bit of the chapter (of my career).”

Beckham also admitted that he felt pressure when he worked out for the Giants, saying he worked hard for his spot.

“Over the last couple of weeks it was just a grind, it was knowing I’m so close to what I’ve worked hard for,” he said. “I asked for this opportunity, I have it, and I’m right here.

“It was on the back of my mind. I feel like even some of the nerves that I had playing, that was the first time I felt (I was) in a position where it wasn’t like ‘All right, this is guaranteed.’”

Beckham will be entering his 11th year in the NFL. He has the chance to bounce back and add to his legacy from the same franchise that first put its trust in him 12 years ago.
