Odell Beckham’s Giants comeback attempt gets good news
USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect

Odell Beckham’s attempt to come back with the New York Giants is getting a happy ending.

Beckham has made the Giants’ final 53-man roster, according to ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan. Beckham had been on the roster bubble as a late summer signing and had to play his way onto the team.

Nobody will be happier about this than Beckham will be. Returning to the Giants meant a lot to him for family and sentimental reasons, though he was well aware that there was no guarantee he would make the 53-man roster. He started his career with the Giants, but was ultimately traded in 2018.

Beckham caught three passes for 53 yards in the team’s preseason finale and narrowly missed what would have been a 73-yard touchdown thanks to a slight overthrow from Jameis Winston. He also flashed excellent speed and looked capable of being a genuine contributor on offense.

Beckham did not play last season. His last NFL action came in 2024, when he caught just nine passes for the Baltimore Ravens.
