Offense Catches Fire; Bills beat Raiders 38-10

What a fantastic victory for Buffalo Bills fans. The perfect palate cleanser from what we witnessed last week. The Bills as a team looked better, but two things that really stood out were the improved run defense and the offense starting to catch fire. Let’s recap the game.

Let James Cook!!

What a fantastic showing from James Cook, and a glimpse at what could be the future of the run game for years to come. He finished with 17 carries for 123 yards and an average of 7.2 yards a rush. The duo of him and Damien Harris proved fatal to Las Vegas’ defense. That could be what this season, and hopefully beyond, looks like. (Editor’s Note: Latavius Murray also looked good in his homecoming/revenge game.)

Spencer Brown looked good!

(*Whispers*) Spencer Brown played good today… and against Mad Maxx Crosby of all people. This is what the whole fan base was hoping to see from Brown going into his third year. He held Crosby to zero sacks or QB hits and few QB hurries, if any. IF it happens again next week, Brown deserves his flowers for how much he’s improved.

Let’s give a round of applause to the Run D

After the showing they had last week, nobody expected the front seven to be able to stop Josh Jacobs. But they did just that. Jacobs was held to just -2 yards on nine carries on the day, with his longest run only three yards. (Editor (again): The Buffalo Bills defense made Josh Jacobs look like Reggie Bush.) The defense heard the noise this week, and they showed up to the plate against one of the league’s top RBs.

Josh Allen drowned out the haters

Yes, there was people that called WGR and wanted Allen benched, but that didn’t faze Josh, who started the game 11/11 at one point. He finished the game 31/37 for 274 yards and three passing TDs. Everything is back to normal, take a deep breath.
