As Barrett Sallee wrote for CBS Sports, Manning's tenure with Ole Miss spanned from 2000-2003. He won the Maxwell Award, given to the nation's top player, SEC Player of the Year, and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 2003. He went on to be the university's first No. 1 NFL Draft pick.
Manning famously orchestrated a trade from the San Diego Chargers to the New York Giants on draft day, and the rest, as the saying goes, is history. He led the Giants to a Super Bowl XLII victory over the 18-0 New England Patriots, and he defeated Tom Brady and the Patriots again in Super Bowl XLVI. Manning earned Most Valuable Player honors for both of those championship games.
The 39-year-old wore Big Blue colors from 2004-2019 before retiring in January.
