Omar Khan: Former GM Kevin Colbert 'always a phone call away'

Newly hired Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan was officially introduced on Friday. The 45-year-old has spent the past 20 seasons with the Steelers, helping build two Super Bowl championship teams and served as the franchise's vice president over the last five years.

When talking with the media on Friday, Khan discussed outgoing GM Kevin Colbert and noted that he expects him to stay involved with the organization. He also talked about his relationship with longtime Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin.

Prior to being named the Steelers vice president, Khan was the team's football operations coordinator for 10 years, before becoming Pittsburgh's director of football administration in 2011.

Colbert joined the Steelers in 2000 and during his tenure, the club went 226-124-3 in the regular season and 15-12 in the playoffs.
