If you thought that Tom Brady is over being the 199th selection from the 2000 NFL Draft, you would be incorrect.
On the 20th anniversary of the day the New England Patriots took a flier on a scrawny signal-caller who had to battle for his job while playing for the Michigan Wolverines, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB posted an Instagram story where he listed all the players at the position who went ahead of him during that historic draft:

"20 years ago," Brady captioned the post. "Nope I haven't forgot."
While New England fans can happily gloat they landed the GOAT with one of the best draft selections in the history of North American pro sports, it cannot be forgotten that every team, including the Patriots, passed on Brady multiple times. One can only wonder, though, how different the football world would be today had the Cleveland Browns not been enamored with Spergon Wynn in the sixth round in 2000.
Earlier in the day, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. shared his original scouting report on Brady.
"At the pro level, his lack of mobility could surface as a problem, and it will be interesting to see how he fares when forced to take more chances down the field," Kiper wrote ahead of the 2000 draft. He gave Brady a fifth-round grade and listed him as the tenth-best QB of the draft class.
Kiper also praised Brady's accuracy and coolness under pressure. The ESPN draft guru hit the nail on the head with that assessment. Brady, who turns 43 in August, has won six Super Bowl titles and made nine championship game appearances during his tenure with the Patriots. He's a four-time Super Bowl MVP and has three regular-season MVPs to his name.
In fairness to Kiper, even Brady has joked about his slowness over the years.
