Only one team makes sense for Von Miller

Von Miller will be playing at 37 years old this season, but the legendary pass-rusher is aging like a fine wine.

As one of the greatest headhunters of his generation, Miller has earned the right to walk away from the game on his own terms.

As such, the Denver Broncos should look to bring him back home for what might be the final year of his career.

He's already lobbied for a return to the team that drafted him, and while they may not need him, even the best defenses can be improved.

Denver Broncos should sign Von Miller

It looked like Miller wouldn't play — or at least dominate — for much longer after the Broncos traded him to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.

Instead, he played a major role in the Rams' Super Bowl win, and he's played another seven strong seasons after leaving Mile High.

Just last season with the Washington Commanders, the former Super Bowl MVP turned back the clock with 9.0 sacks — his most since 2021 — and six tackles for loss despite starting just three games.

The Broncos had one of the hardest-hitting defenses in the league last season. Still, having Miller rotate with Nik Bonitto or take the field in certain packages would be an ideal scenario for Sean Payton's team.

Spotrac projects his next contract to be for one year and $5.8M, but he'd probably take a major hometown discount for a chance to ride into the sunset with the team that helped him become a likely first-ballot Hall of Famer.
