Packers 2025 preseason schedule gives Green Bay a small but welcome break before what could be a tough regular season

Everybody talked about the NFL Schedule Release on Wednesday. While the regular season games were obviously the focus of the coverage, the league also released the preseason schedule. This year, the Green Bay Packers will play two home exhibition games, against the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks, and a road game against the Indianapolis Colts.

It's a positive schedule for Green Bay. Since the NFL adjusted its schedule to 17 regular season games and three preseason games, the league rotates how many home and road games each team plays. Even though the Packers have an extra road game in the regular season, they have one extra home game in preseason. That helps the logistics, and the fact that the road game will be in Indy makes everything smoother.

Packers 2025 Preseason Schedule

Week 1: vs. New York Jets (Saturday, Aug. 9, 7 p.m. CT)
Week 2: at Indianapolis Colts (Saturday, Aug. 16, 12 p.m. CT)
Week 3: vs. Seattle Seahawks (Saturday, Aug. 23, 3 p.m. CT)

So far, the NFL hasn't released the preseason games that will be broadcasted by its partners and by NFL Network.

However, the Packers' games are televised over a 22-station network throughout the state of Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, northeastern Minnesota, Peoria and Rockford in Illinois, Cedar Rapids-Waterloo, Davenport and Des Moines in Iowa, Omaha in Nebraska, St. Louis in Missouri, Bismarck, Fargo and Minot in North Dakota, Sioux Falls in South Dakota, and Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau in Alaska. Packers preseason games are also broadcast on Telemundo Wisconsin. Here's the list of affiliates.

All Packers games can also be heard on the Packers Radio Network, which is made up of 54 stations in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota and South Dakota. Here's the full listing of radio affiliates.

Roster

Over the past few years, the NFL adjusted its roster rules to give teams more time to evaluate players. Instead of two roster cuts, there’s only one after preseason, when the team goes from 91 (90 + the International Pathway Program designee) to 53 players, plus a 16-man practice squad.
