Packers' Aaron Rodgers will 'be ready to go' vs. Ravens despite not practicing

In what has seemingly become a weekly occurrence, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers confidently said earlier this week that the fractured pinkie toe he's played through for more than a month won't keep him out of the lineup for any games, including Sunday's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

As was the case before the 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams back on Nov. 28, Rodgers didn't practice this week to rest the ailing digit. Head coach Matt LaFleur didn't seem too concerned when speaking with reporters Friday.

"He did not do anything today other than our walk-through prior to practice," LaFleur said of the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "But as far as him playing in the game, we don't have any concerns. Certainly, yeah, you'd love to have him get those live reps just for the timing purposes. But again, it is what it is. We'll make the best of it, and there's no doubt in my mind he'll be ready to go."

Rodgers practiced only on the Friday before last Sunday's impressive 45-30 win over the Chicago Bears, and he tossed for 341 yards and four touchdowns in that outing. He's gone 3-1 since suffering the injury while isolating away from the team following a positive COVID-19 test but said after the victory over the Bears his toe felt "worse."

Meanwhile, the Ravens may be without quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is on track to be a game-time decision due to a sprained right ankle.
