Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams is one of the league’s premier standouts at his position. One of the reasons why he has enjoyed such immense success is because he has had the opportunity to work with three-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers.

Recently, Rodgers demanded a trade, leaving Adams in something of a tricky situation.

Rather than having someone of Rodgers’ magnitude throwing him passes going forward, there’s a very good chance it will be the team’s 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love.

This past week Adams spoke to Paulina Dedaj of Fox News and got very honest about where things stand between him and Love.

“…I like what I see from him so far,” he said. “He’s shown that he’s locked in and ready to assume whatever role that he has to and go out there and play, so I’m looking forward to seeing him.”

As far as chemistry, Adams was quick to acknowledge that it’s a process.

"I don’t have any experience with him. The more that we do work — obviously I didn’t do team reps, so I wouldn’t say that our chemistry is great, but it’s just because we haven’t had a whole lot of time together, but whatever happens will happen, and if he ends up kind of running the deal, then we’ll continue to build and start on that journey in training camp, but as of now, we haven’t had much time together, so I can’t say that it's where Aaron and I’s chemistry is. That took years and years and years to build to get to where we are right now."

Adams similarly had some interesting things to say about the approach Rodgers is taking to force his way out of Green Bay.

At the moment, there appears to be only one team seriously vying for an opportunity to acquire Rodgers. The Packers reportedly have made their asking price clear, but it has yet to be met.

It wouldn’t be the most shocking thing in the world to see Rodgers and Adams play together in 2021. If Rodgers ultimately gets his wish, it will be interesting to see how the dynamic between Adams and Love develops.
