The Green Bay Packers have yet to have wide receiver Christian Watson on the active roster, but his status is expected to be upgraded to available sooner than later, especially after the team opened his 21-day practice window earlier this month.
Watson, who suffered an ACL injury during Green Bay’s final 2024 regular-season game against the Chicago Bears, began the 2025 campaign on the Packers’ physically unable to perform list.
“I want to get back and have felt 100% and continue to feel 100%, Watson said on Oct. 6, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “That’s my main thing. I’m not setting too much of a target date, this week or anything. It’s really just as soon as I feel like I’m 100 percent and ready to go is when I’ll play.”
As Watson awaits the day he finally makes his return to the field for the Packers, he shared a social media post via Instagram on Monday, showing him in Green Bay colors with a caption that read: “Blessed.”
Watson seems to still appreciate everything in his life despite the long road back to full recovery from his injury.
The former North Dakota State star has already started practicing with the team, and after getting ruled out in Week 7’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, he will have another shot at making his 2025 debut this coming Sunday, when the Packers visit Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
