Green Bay Packers star Jordan Love’s steamrolling of Washington Commanders defensive back Trey Amos in Week 2’s game at Lambeau Field continues to generate buzz.

In that game, the former Utah State Aggies star signal-caller passed for 292 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions while finding 19 of his 31 throws on target to lead Green Bay to a dominant 27-18 victory at home. He also added 12 rushing yards on three carries, including the one where he got the Packers a first down after plowing through Amos.

“At first, you start to take off and look to see if you can have a pass, anybody’s working for a scramble-drill type thing, and then just felt that room,” Love said about that run (h/t Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated). “As I took off and I could see the sticks on the sideline, knew I was going to be short. I saw the corner coming, so I knew I was going to have to try and lower my shoulder, try and make that play, get the first.”

Love gets a message from Packers OC about his viral rushing attempt in Week 2

Heading into a Week 3 matchup versus the Cleveland Browns on the road, Love got a big praise and a lighthearted warning from Green Bay offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich regarding that rushing attempt in the Commanders game and any plan the QB may have of doing it again.

Adam Stenavich’s message to Jordan Love after running over Trey Amos for first down on third-and-9: “Great job. Don’t get hurt.”

It will be interesting to see whether Love would have any chance to pick up big yards on the ground against the Browns this coming weekend. In any case, the Packers have star running back Josh Jacobs to do that for them.
