Packers Defender Drops Egotistic Comment After Bears Game

It wasn’t quite what quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears were hoping for when he threw an interception at the end of the game, resulting in a 21-28 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field. It was, however, the perfect way to become a hero in the city of Green Bay for Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon, as he intercepted what could have been one of the most important touchdown passes in Williams’ young career.

Keisean Nixon Drops an Egotistic Comment After Win vs. Bears

After the game, Nixon shared his thoughts on the interception and showed his true colors.

“I don’t care, I do this sh** for me. F*** everybody else, excuse my language but you know? I am who I say I am and I always tell myself that and I come in to play like that. That’s just a play, and I got to keep making them.”

People were, for the most part, not happy with his comments, but one player does not define the team.

Regardless, this might be the first time a player openly says something along the lines of “I only care about myself and not the team.” Props to Nixon for making the play, but it’s definitely an egotistical comment from the Packers’ cornerback.

Nixon Gets Into Shuffle with Bears’ Rookie Luther Burden III

The tensions were already high with what was at stake in this game and with Ben Johnson’s comments about the Packers during his opening press conference, but things escalated when Nixon approached Bears’ rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III after a play.

The two proceeded to get into a scuffle, which resulted in a penalty on Nixon.

Burden finished the game with four catches for 67 yards, averaging 16.8 yards per reception. With Rome Odunze out due to a foot injury, Burden stepped up and was making plays on the field for the Bears.

Parting Thoughts

It was a tale of two halves for the Bears, with the first being one to forget and the second looking more like the 2025 Chicago Bears. The Packers played a more consistent game and ended up reaping the rewards of Nixon’s game-winning interception.

It surely was a sour feeling leaving Lambeau for the Bears, but they have an opportunity to even the series in two weeks when the Bears host the Packers at Soldier Field for Sunday Night Football.
