Packers fans named 'America's most passionate' sports fan base

Although all professional sports in the United States are on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, that didn't stop Forbes from releasing their list of America's most passionate sports fan bases of 2020.

Unsurprisingly, Green Bay Packers fans were voted the most passionate sports fan base in the country. Cheeseheads, as they're more commonly known, will do just about anything to support Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Forbes notes there are 137,000 names on the season ticket waiting list, and that 99 percent of fans renew every year... so it's pretty difficult to shimmy your way into some seats.

Green Bay is worth $2.85 billion, have an average social media following of 7.49 million and have an average attendance of 77,845.

Although Green Bay hasn't won a Super Bowl since 2010, Packers fans are unbelievably devoted to the team. The Packers have missed the playoffs just twice in the last decade, and made it to the NFC Championship game last season.

It's no surprise that Boston has two teams inside the top 10...they've won the most titles over the last decade. The same can be said for Pittsburgh, with both the Steelers and Penguins on the list. 

Football is the most represented sport on this list with six teams inside the top ten while the NBA garnered two spots and the NHL and MLB each having one team among the best.
