The Green Bay Packers are coming off a 40-40 tie with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, and it continues to generate some buzz in the NFL world. In any case, that’s a game Josh Jacons and the Packers can’t redo, so they will just have to settle for a 2-1-1 record through four weeks of action.
Jacobs, however, is not just dealing with the aftermath of that controversial game, where he led his team in rushing and receiving, racking up a total of 157 yards from scrimmage to go with a couple of rushing touchdowns on the ground.
On Friday, Jacobs took to social media to debunk a piece of misinformation circulating on the internet. What irked the former Alabama Crimson Tide star running back was a fabricated quote attributed to him about his grandfather.
“I DIDN’T KNOW MY GRANDFATHER WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH A HEART ATTACK BEFORE THE GAME. I CELEBRATED THAT TOUCHDOWN WITH JOY, BUT NOW IT FEELS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. THAT SCORE IS FOR HIM, AND I JUST PRAY HE PULLS THROUGH,” the fake quote read.
Jacobs set the record straight by saying “”I never once said this idk why people always like just making [expletive] up.”
While some may have led to believe the fake quote, at least Jacobs was able to share his side and refute it.
So far in the 2025 NFL regular season, the three-time Pro Bowler has rushed for a total of 266 yards and four touchdowns on 80 rushing attempts over the course of four games.
Jacobs and the Packers have a bye in Week 5 and will be back in action in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
