The 2025 draft has all it takes to be the most special edition ever for Green Bay Packers fans. For the first time ever, the draft will be in Green Bay, right around Lambeau Field. And on Thursday, the NFL announced the former players who will be announcing the Day 2 picks.

On Thursday night, Packers legends kicker Mason Crosby, running back Ahman Green, wide receiver James Jones, edge defender Clay Matthews, and wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be on-site to help NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to officially open the 2025 NFL Draft. The Packers' picks on Friday will be announced by guard Jerry Kramer and linebacker Dave Robinson.

The draft, hosted in the state of Wisconsin for the first time since the 1940 NFL Draft in Milwaukee, begins with the first round on Thursday night, April 24, and continues Friday, April 25, with Rounds 2-3. The draft will conclude on Saturday, April 26, with Rounds 4-7.

The Packers are slated to have eight draft picks, two of them on Day 2—one in each round. The extra pick will be in the seventh round.

Green Bay didn't have their own seventh-rounder, traded to the Tennessee Titans in the deal to acquire quarterback Malik Willis, but got one from the Pittsburgh Steelers for Preston Smith and another one as a compensatory selection for losing Yosh Nijman in free agency last year.

Thirteen Day 2 announcers attended the University of Wisconsin, including the school's all-time leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, Lee Evans (representing the Buffalo Bills), as well as four of the school's top six all-time leading rushers -- Taylor (Indianapolis Colts), Montee Ball (Denver Broncos), Melvin Gordon (Los Angeles Chargers) and James White (New England Patriots).

Besides the special moment for a draft in Green Bay, the presence of legendary people in the history of the organization will give it a feel even more touching for fans.
