More opportunity for Packers wide receivers

With Reed sidelined on IR, the Packers will need others in the wide receiver room to step up. Rookie Matthew Golden could see a bigger workload after managing just two catches for 16 yards in his first two outings. Romeo Doubs should continue to provide steady production, while tight end Tucker Kraft might emerge as Jordan Love’s top target in Green Bay.

This marks the first extended absence of Jayden Reed’s career. In his first two NFL seasons, the former second-round pick missed only one game, providing steady production for the Packers even without topping 1,000 yards in a season. Across 35 career games, Reed has totaled 122 receptions for 1,695 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The Packers head into Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, who sit at 0-2 but boast one of the league’s toughest defenses. Cleveland ranks second in passing yards allowed per game at 146.0 and first in total yards surrendered at 191.5. Green Bay, however, counters with an offense firing on all cylinders, averaging 27.0 points per game, the sixth-highest mark in the NFL.
