Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers got a big and painful reality check on Sunday, as they got upended by the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.

With all the momentum from a 2-0 start to the 2025 season, Green Bay was widely expected to take care of business in its first game away from Lambeau Field.

Instead, Parsons got a taste of his first loss since his trade from the Dallas Cowboys to the Packers, with Cleveland standing on top of the visiting team when it was all said and done on the field to the tune of a 13-10 score.

Green Bay’s defense, as head coach Matt LaFleur said after the game, performed adequately versus the Browns. But the offense simply was not up to par for the Packers. Parsons only had two tackles and zero sacks, but he got two quarterback hits on Cleveland quarterback Joe Flacco.

It was a game that the Packers can learn a lot from. For Parsons, the loss to the Browns was a reminder that nothing in the NFL comes easily for any team, regardless of its status, record, or momentum.

“Sometimes, just like today, you s— the bed,” Parsons said, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “That’s just the reality of it. It happens to the best teams. Even the best Super Bowl champs make mistakes, and they pay for it early. You go back to the history of the champions and who’ve they’ve played and games they should’ve won. It’s just that competitive.”

Parsons, who was traded to Green Bay by the Cowboys in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and a pair of future first-round picks, will have an even more intriguing game up ahead, as the Packers lock horns with his former team, Dallas, at Jerry World.
