The Green Bay Packers have been besieged by injuries in the 2025 NFL campaign. For one, they have already lost star tight end Tucker Kraft for the rest of the campaign because of a devastating knee injury he suffered in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers. Wide receiver Jayden Reed is also still on the shelf at the time of this writing, as he continues to work his way back from shoulder and foot surgeries.
In Week 11’s game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford against the New York Giants, Green Bay saw both quarterback Jordan Love and running back Josh Jacobs get hurt. At least for Love, he was able to return to action and finish the contest. Jacobs, on the other hand, was ruled out in the third quarter with a knee issue.
The good news for Green Bay and Jacobs is that he reportedly did not suffer a serious injury — or one that would force him to miss multiple games. Based on news coming out of Green Bay, it appears that he even has a chance to play this coming weekend against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide star tailback had 40 rushing yards on seven carries before leaving the Giants game.
Green Bay shared more positive news about Jacobs on Tuesday. In a post on Instagram, the team shared a graphic with the following historic information:
Josh Jacobs played in his 100th game on Sunday, where he surpassed 7,500 career rushing yards.
With that, he became the third player in NFL history to hit these marks in his first 100 games:
7.500+RUSHING YDS
70+ RUSHING TDS
250+ RECS
2.000+ REC YDS
The only other players to have amassed those numbers in their first 100 games in the league are LaDainian Tomlinson and Emmitt Smith, who are both now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
