It has been quite an offseason for the LaFleur family, especially with the news that Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur’s brother is also now a head coach in the NFL.
That was after the Arizona Cardinals announced that they hired Mike LaFleur as their newest head coach.
Mike was the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive coordinator from 2023 to 2025 before taking on a much bigger gig with the Cards.
Last week, Mike had his introductory news conference with the Cardinals in Tempe, Arizona, and among those present was none other than Matt, who had just finished the 2025 NFL season with Green Bay.
“I think he’s earned it, and he’s done it the right way, and he’s been himself throughout this journey and knowing that there are no shortcuts and you got to put in the work, and I think he’s going to do a great job,” Matt LaFleur said at the time, via Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.
And while Matt was down in Arizona, he decided to take in some NBA action by attending a game between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where he got booed by the crowd.

He was here a few days ago when his brother Mike accepted the Arizona Cardinals’ coaching job.
While that was a bit awkward, it was unsurprising at the same time, as the Cardinals and Green Bay are NFC rivals.
