Packers’ Micah Parsons Contract Details Revealed, and It’s Massive
Packers' Micah Parsons Contract Details Revealed, and It's Massive 5 Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons enjoys playing with kids at El Paso High School during a football camp for youth on June 17, 2024.

The Packers’ blockbuster trade to acquire Micah Parsons just might propel Green Bay into the Super Bowl conversation, in the NFC, but the franchise is paying a premium for the All-Pro edge rusher.

“I’d expect the Packers to use Micah the same way Dallas did,” an NFL scout told me shortly after the trade went down. “But, Jeff Hafley may use him in space, too. He’s mainly going to be a pass rusher there.”

In a division where the Detroit Lions are vulnerable, the Chicago Bears loaded up on offense around quarterback Caleb Williams, and in a conference where teams such as Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles and Jayden Daniels’ Washington Commanders stand in the Packers’ way, it’s easy to see why going all-in on Parsons in hopes of putting a young roster over the top was such a priority for general manager Brian Gutekunst and the Packers.

Micah Parsons’ Packers Contract Details

Parsons now becomes the highest-paid non-quarterback in the sport on a deal that becomes the benchmark among pass rushers.

According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, here is the full breakdown of Parsons’ contract:

2025: $44 million signing bonus, $1.17 million salary (fully guaranteed)

2026: $38 milllion option bonus (fully guaranteed), $2.387 million base salary (fully guaranteed)

2027: $34.43 million option bonus (fully guaranteed), $3.10 base salary (injury guaranteed)

2028: $40.55 million base salary (partially injury guaranteed)

2029: $43.55 million

Essentially, Parsons’ contract ties the 26-year-old to the Packers through the 2027 season, given the fully guaranteed nature of the contract over that span.

Regardless, trading for Parsons props open a legitimate Super Bowl window for Green Bay, around an ascending quarterback in Love and young players who are largely homegrown and developing on both sides of the football. Trading for Parsons sets the stage for Green Bay to be in the mix for the next several years, as the payoff of a young roster hitting its prime.
