The entire football world was rocked on Thursday when news broke that Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland passed away. The details of his death were not instantly known, but it certainly had an immediate impact on a lot of people, including Green Bay Packers superstar defensive end Micah Parsons.
Kneeland, who had just scored a touchdown on a blocked punt against the Arizona Cardinals last Monday, was reportedly found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot after evading the police.
“After losing visual of the vehicle, troopers located it minutes later, crashed on southbound Dallas Parkway near Warren Parkway,” the Frisco Police Department’s statement said (h/t NBC News).
As the NFL family mourns Kneeland’s death, Parsons took to social media to pay his respects to his former Cowboys teammate.
“I’m sorry lil brother,” Parsons wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories. “I hope you find peace,” the four-time Pro Bowler added.
