Packers Offense Must Step Up After Micah Parsons Injury
Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images

Losing Micah Parsons is a massive storyline for the league, but for the Green Bay Packers, it sharpens an already apparent reality: the ceiling for the rest of 2025 is going to be set by the Packers offense.

The Packers aren’t built to grind out wins with 17–13 rock fights anymore. This roster is young, fast, and explosive on offense — and if Green Bay wants to stay in the contender conversation, that unit needs to start dictating games instead of reacting to them.

This is the moment where potential has to turn into production.

Packers Offense is All About Love

Love has already proven he belongs as a franchise quarterback, but now the bar moves. With defensive matchups across the next three games differing, the Packers need Love to be decisive, aggressive, and ruthless when defenses hesitate.

There’s no doubt Love has taken a step forward this year and is more than capable of carrying this team to big-time wins. Now more than ever, he and the players around him must elevate their game.

The Packers’ Receivers Must Turn Depth Into Damage

The receiver room for the Packers has been as deep as anyone in the league. That depth has faced multiple tests this season, as Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, Dontayvion Wicks, and Savion Williams have all missed time.

Watson avoided a significant injury Sunday, when, let’s face it, it honestly looked like he broke his collarbone. He is now trying to play on Saturday against the Bears, which would give the team a healthy receiving room.

If Watson is healthy, he is the most dynamic weapon on the team, but the Packers will need someone else to step up. Reed has been dynamic after the catch, dangerous in space, and a nightmare on motion and option routes. Romeo Doubs has been quiet of late, but there is no doubt that Love trusts him and knows he can make a play when needed.

Outside of those three, the Packers need Wicks, Golden, Williams, or even Bo Melton to make game-changing plays. Someone should be threatening 100 yards every week, and defenses should feel punished when they double the wrong guy.

Josh Jacobs Sets the Tone

Josh Jacobs is still the heart and soul of the offense, and the fact that he’s doing it while battling a knee injury says everything about his importance to this team. Jacobs has still been shouldering a heavy workload and continues to find the end zone each week.

The Packers offense feeds off him. When Jacobs runs angry, the offense finds rhythm. And when the game tightens late, he’s the guy everyone looks to. If the Packers are going to weather this stretch and keep their identity intact, it starts with No. 8 setting the standard every single snap.

If the Line Holds, Everything Else Works

None of the above can happen unless the offensive line stands strong.

With Zach Tom battling a knee injury, the Packers are riding a reshuffled line. Sean Rhyan has been a steady replacement for Jenkins at center. They look to have found something to build off of with Aaron Banks and Anthony Belton at guard.

On the edge, Rasheed Walker must rebound from last week. If Tom can’t go, Darian Kinnard will start at RT with Jordan Morgan in jumbo sets.

Give Jordan Love a beat, and the Packers offense can still cook. Let the pocket collapse, and nothing else matters.

Bottom Line: The Packers Offense Will Determine The Team’s Fate

The Packers roster is built to score, to pressure opponents on the scoreboard, and to force mistakes by playing from ahead.

With Micah Parsons out of the picture, the focus becomes clear: the offense needs to put up points each of the next three weeks. They are talented enough to do so, but cannot afford to have low-scoring games anymore.

Be aggressive, finish drives in the Red Zone with touchdowns instead of settling for field goals. The 2025 Green Bay Packers may be down after their trip to Denver, but they are certainly not out. It is time to see what this team is truly made of.
