The regular season still has one more week to go, but the Green Bay Packers know their playoff fate.
Head coach Matt LaFleur’s club has secured a playoff berth, but if Green Bay is going to make a charge towards the Super Bowl, its postseason run is going to begin with a daunting test, away from the friendly frozen confines of Lambeau Field.
After tripping up in Chicago two weeks ago, the Packers will be hitting the road when the playoffs get underway.
The Bears, already clutching their hats and t-shirts as NFC North champions, are guaranteed at least one home game inside Soldier Field, and there’s a chance that the playoffs begin with a third meeting between the division rivals in two weeks.
Green Bay is locked into either a second trip to Soldier Field, or a second consecutive postseason flight to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles, depending on how the Week 18 matchups play out.
The Packers would head to Philadelphia, if the Eagles beat the Commanders and the Detroit Lions topple the Bears in the regular-season finale.
Green Bay fell to the Eagles, at home, 10-7, back on November 10.
If Chicago wins, Green Bay can book flights to Chicago and look to avenge their Week 16 loss at Soldier Field with a trip to the NFC Divisional round at stake.
