Packers QB Jordan Love sends message about 'easy' schedule

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love seemingly sent a message to teammates ahead of an alleged "easy" stretch of games that begins with the "Monday Night Football" showdown at the 4-8 New York Giants.

"We don’t doubt anybody or take a game off or anything like that," Love said during a news conference, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "We give everybody respect and take it that one game at a time. Our mindset is just to focus and go win every week."

The Packers began the season at 2-5 but have since won four of five, including three straight, to get to 6-6. Green Bay enters the weekend holding a wild-card spot, and the ESPN Football Power Index gave the Packers a 66.9% chance to make the playoffs as of Friday afternoon.

Following Week 14, the Packers face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-7), Carolina Panthers (1-11), Minnesota Vikings (6-6) and Chicago Bears (4-8). Love suggested he and his teammates are focused only on the matchup versus the Giants.

"We don’t need a reminder at all," Love continued. "We know what position we’re in. Every game is like a playoff game for us. We know [we need] that mentality — we’ve got to win out. So, this team doesn’t need a reminder of that."

Love's improved play since the start of Week 9 has made believers out of analysts throughout the NFL community and is a big reason so many expect the Packers to make the playoffs and, potentially, win at least four of their final five games. As of early Friday afternoon, oddschecker listed Green Bay as a 6.5-point road favorite against a Giants team that's starting popular undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito at quarterback.

"I don’t even know if guys even notice that," Love said about the betting lines. "Obviously, that’s something that we don’t have any control of. We just focus on who we’ve got this week. We don’t look at who the underdog is or anything like that. We just focus on going out and winning."
