The Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 27-10 on Sunday night. The win came on the heels of their Week 1 loss to the hated Minnesota Vikings. A noticeable difference in the victory over the Bears was the increased usage of running back Aaron Jones. The one-time Pro Bowler dashed the Bears for 170 total yards and two touchdowns. After the game, though, Jones had high praise for another Packers player. This one a rookie on the other side of the ball. Ryan Wood of USA Today asked Jones a few questions about linebacker Quay Walker:

As seen in the Tweets above, Jones was very complimentary of Walker’s speed as a linebacker. Justin Fields, the Bears quarterback, is one of the fastest in the NFL. However, Walker was able to chase him down and prevent a touchdown on this play.

Walker finished the game with five tackles and a pass deflection. Missed tackles have been an achilles heel of the Packers’ defense so far in this young season. Walker, however, has made 13 total tackles while only missing one.

As mentioned previously, Aaron Jones lit up the Bears for 170 total yards and two touchdowns. He had 15 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown to go with three receptions for 38 yards and another score. While the season is just two weeks young, Jones is averaging 9.1 yards per carry and 90.5 rushing yards per game. In his postgame press conference, Aaron Rodgers said they are “just scratching the surface” of what they can do with Jones in the offense. If this is true, Jones is going to be in for an All-Pro year.

The question is will it be enough for the Packers to pay him the $20M he is owed year?
