Life comes at you fast in the NFL, and former Green Bay Packers draft pick Jonathan Garvin found that out on Friday.
The day started with the Packers social media team wishing Garvin a happy birthday as he is indeed celebrating his 24th birthday.
Then three hours later head coach Matt LaFleur announced that the team had released Garvin.
Here it is, a social media story in two parts.

That is definitely one way to celebrate your 24th birthday.
The writing probably should have been on the wall for Garvin to not make the Packers' roster this season, but that is still a brutal twist to the day for him.
Garvin, a seventh-round pick by the team in 2020, did not really make much of an impact over the first three years of his career outside of special teams and was in the process of switching positions from linebacker to defensive end. He also did not take part in most of the team's voluntary offseason workouts.
In his three seasons with the Packers, he recorded 32 tackles, 1.5 quarterback sacks, seven quarterback hits and two pass defenses.
