Packers reportedly 'exploring QBs they can add to their roster' amid Aaron Rodgers trade rumors

The Packers are exploring bringing in more quarterbacks to Green Bay due to Aaron Rodgers not wanting to return to the team next season.

"Packers have begun exploring QBs they can add to their roster for OTAs and training camp, per sources," ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted.

This does not mean that the Packers are looking to move on from Rodgers, but the only other quarterback currently on the roster is Jordan Love. So, it makes sense to add some depth to the position, in case the team is unable to convince Rodgers to stay. According to Schefter, the Packers' search includes "some veterans."

Just before the draft, reports of Rodgers' dissatisfaction with the Packers surfaced, as the three-time MVP reportedly feels that the front office has not done a good job of putting talent around him. Tension between Rodgers and the Packers began almost a year ago when the team traded up in the first round to draft Love.

The Packers remain committed to keeping Rodgers on the team, but sources have indicated that the veteran is willing to sit out or potentially retire rather than play in Green Bay. Rodgers is especially unhappy with general manager Brian Gutekunst and has reportedly told the Packers he will not return unless Gutekunst is fired.
