Packers rule out Jayden Reed due to chest injury during Vikings game
Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers receiver Jayden Reed has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday night’s contest against Minnesota with a chest injury, the team announced. The Packers are currently holding on to a 30-10 lead with 14 minutes remaining in the game.

Reed was the team’s leading receiver at the time of his exit with six catches for 89 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has been dealing with the chest injury over the past few weeks and apparently aggravated it against the Vikings.

Green Bay will hope the injury to Reed isn’t too serious, as he has been one of its bigger offensive weapons this season. The rookie out of Michigan State ranked second on the team with 54 catches for 592 yards and six touchdowns entering Sunday’s contest.

Reed helped get the Packers off to a hot start by scoring the first touchdown of the game on a 33-yard pass from Jordan Love. His second of the day came in the second quarter and went for 25 yards. Green Bay jumped out to a 30-3 lead before Minnesota managed its first touchdown at the start of the fourth quarter.
