Green Bay Packers superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons has already established himself as one of the NFL’s most dangerous pass rushers. Even so, he recognizes that the league features plenty of elite edge defenders competing at a high level.

The Packers star defensive end was asked in X (formerly Twitter) to name the three most underrated pass rushers in the league. He pointed to Alex Highsmith of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jared Verse of the Los Angeles Rams, and Odafe Oweh of the Baltimore Ravens.
Alex Highsmith has spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, appearing in 90 games during that stretch. Over his career, he has recorded 337 tackles, 91 quarterback hits, and 45 sacks. In the 2025 season, Highsmith finished with 50 tackles, 19 quarterback hits, and 9.5 sacks. While T. J. Watt often draws most of the attention in Pittsburgh, Micah Parsons made sure to highlight the impact of the Steelers’ other dangerous pass rusher.
Jared Verse has already completed two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and has produced strong numbers early in his career. Across that span, he has recorded 124 tackles, 45 quarterback hits, and 12 sacks. Verse has also earned two Pro Bowl selections and captured the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2024. During the 2025 season, he improved his production by increasing his sack total from 4.5 to 7.5 while raising his quarterback hits from 18 to 27.
Odafe Oweh is heading into free agency and is expected to pursue a lucrative long term deal. The Los Angeles Chargers acquired him from the Baltimore Ravens at the trade deadline. Oweh finished the season with 7.5 sacks after recording 10 during his last full year in Baltimore. Across 79 career NFL games, he has totaled 176 tackles, 79 quarterback hits, and 30.5 sacks.
When Micah Parsons returns to the field, he will aim to remind everyone why he belongs in the NFL’s top tier of pass rushers. At the same time, he continues to show respect for the talent spread across the league.
